Gender-Swapped LOTR Is [Almost] My Fave LOTR

Okay, so some chick [I assume it's a chick because only girls like girl characters, right?] created a gender-swapped casting for LOTR!

Livejournal user Annis created stunning picspammy [which is a new vocab word for me!] paying tribute to the lady actors who fit the film versions of the much-beloved characters.

Now, her own disclaimer says
When I created this picspam, I had a couple of requirements when choosing an actor. First off: they should be of an approximately fitting age...Second off: they should have some tie to the movie version of the character, as that's what I'm casting after. As I'm pretty bad at actors, I used IMDB extensively and asked friends for help. I haven't considered much beyond looks either, as, well, then I couldn't cast anything.
But I think she did a damn good job!!

I've only given you the Fellowship + Saruman (because Helen Mirren, bitches!) but OH THERE'S MORE.  Including some token sexy dudes ;)  Check out the original post for more.

Want of the Week: SDCC Con Exclusives

Today, io9 revealed Hasbro's exclusive toy release for San Diego Comic-Con.

Boys and girls, I give you ANGRY BIRDS STAR WARS.
Look at that wittle Vader piggy!!  SQUEE!

As much as I love Star Wars and animal likenesses, my SQUEEs for Angry Birds Star Wars are nothing--NOTHING, I say--can match my <3s for one of DCs Con Exclusives.

BEHOLD.
Super Best Friends Forever action figures.  I KNOW, RIIIIIIIIGHT!?!?!

There's also a "Superheroes of Green Lantern" figure set that includes Dex-Starr.
Rage Cat > LOL Cat

Y'all?  It's a good time to be a nerd.

We Need to Talk About Leggings

The majority of my internet usage falls into two categories:
1.  Reading nerd news, cause I gotsta stay informed
2.  SHOPPING, duh
So obvi I get really excited when these two things are combined.

Lucky for me, I'm not the only one that feels this way.

There are so many resources out there for girls like me!  [My fave is Geeky Merch, because it's a tumblr and I'm required as a Millenial to like tumblr the mostest.]  Which means I look at a lot of cute, nerdy Things to Buy on a daily basis, and here's what I've noticed.

There are, like, a lot of nerd leggings.

Seriously, guys, what is going on?

What's the deal with nerdy leggings?
Like, every nerd thing has a dedicated pair of leggings.

Like games?  Here you go!
More of a scifi gal?

Comics?

Science?

Fantasy?!?
So now the only things left to do is BUY THEM ALL!

Want of the Week: Comic Book Pencil Skirt

Taking sexy secretary to a whole new level!

There's also a "POW" burst that goes right over the booty.  Totes perfect for all my major interests: nerdery, clothes, and making people look at my butt!

I'm Just Too Hot n' Nerdy

One of my dreams in life is to make a living being Hot & Nerdy.

Since my youth is quickly draining away, being a Hollywood It Girl is pretty much off the table.
At 5 feet tall, I'll never be a Real Model.

And neither of those is nerdy enough for little ol' me.

But then there's pinup.

Hot?  Always.
Nerdy?  More often than you'd think!

So I always have to click on something that promises a mashup of classically sexy ladies and much-beloved characters.  Imagine my delight--usually expressed "OMGsocute"--when I saw Lora Zombie's new series.

She even has sweet little video showcasing some of her process.
My favorite parts are (a) the guest appearances by a kitteh and a wee mouse, and (b) the putting-on-makeup interludes.  I often need putting-on-makeup interludes.

Here's her version of my girl Poison Ivy:

The gallery is labeled NSFW, but only if you work somewhere that has a strict No Cartoon Butts policy.

Cosplay Envy: MolecularAgatha

The other day, I was innocently browsing the internet, when this stunning steampunk Link crossed my path:
This is cosplayer MolecularAgatha [WHAT DOES YOUR NAME MEEEAAAAN!?] looking fine as hell in her leather armor.

So I did what any girl does when confronted with a cute outfit.

Internet stalking...ENGAGE.

And, boy, was my fancy tickled!!

Her deviantArt page yields classics, like Sexy Princess Peach here:
and a spot-on Sailor Venus:

BUT!!

There are also more unique entries that make me UBERJEALOUS.

Like, hey, Naked Samus:
Git it, girl.

She even does historical figures!!
Caterina Sforza.  Like, unpopular historical figures.  HIPSTER HISTORY!  [Hipstory?  Nope.  Nevermind.]

And the icing on the cupcake?

NYAN CAT NECKLACE!

BONUS Hipstotical Nyan Cat.!

I don't have anything to add, so I'm just going to leave this here:

Let's Give That Bitch A Makeover

Bitches love makeovers.

And no bitch loves a makeover more that this gal!  Except for Disney.  Disney loves makeovers more than me.  And they're so good at it, too!

Check out what they did to my girl Merida:
I know!  Hot, right!?

This reminds me of middle school.  You show up the first day and realize that suddenly all the cool girls started wearing makeup sometime over the summer.  I'm not talking my-mom-let-me-buy-Bonne-Bell-tinted-chapstick-at-CVS makeup.  I mean, like, full Kardashian.  So you go home after school and instead of doing homework you secretly buy as many fashion magazines as possible so they next day you can show up looking like The Most Beautiful version of yourself.

Obvs Merida did that.  And damn, girl, ya look good!

Change.org summed it up perfectly:
By making her skinnier, sexier and more mature in appearance, you are sending a message to girls that the original, realistic, teenage-appearing version of Merida is inferior; that for girls and women to have value — to be recognized as true princesses — they must conform to a narrow definition of beauty.
Teenage-looking, no-makeup, insufficient-glitter-level is totes inferior to the ginger bombshell on the right!

I just wish they would have given her a bedazzled bow and arrow.  Cause being hot is totally better in my eyes, but you need to be able to fire a warning shot at any catcalling dudes.

Go Make Me A Sandwich!

It's no secret that I'm pretty darn girly.

If the pink title font didn't tip you off, let me outline it for you.  I love clothes, boys, makeup, baby animals...FULFILL ALL THE STEREOTYPES!

But that's nothing compared to what I have for you today.  Today, I remember how to woman.

Barefoot...

Pregnant...

And in the kitchen!

Urge to cook rising....RISING...

I think I'll make a batch of these:
Lo-coo-kied!

"I have an army."

"We have a Cookie Monster."

EXPELLIARMUS!

Prince Harry has disarmed my heart.
